DESIGN NAME: The Light in the Bubble

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lamp

INSPIRATION: Edison filament bulb

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The light in the bubble is a modern light bulb in memory of the Edison’s filament bulb light. It’s a led light source fitted inside a plexiglas sheet, cutted by laser with a light’s bulb shape. The bulb is transparent, but when you turn on the light, you can see the filament and the bulb shape. It can be used like pendent light or in replacing a traditional bulb.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
it’s transparent when the light is off, when you turn on the light you can see the filament and the bulb, in memory of the old Edison bulb.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
This product shows many effects of quantum physics at the same time. the light propagates in the crystal that appears transparent, diffracts and reflects on the edges. The visual effect is to have a transparent body when it is off, if you turn on the light materializes the ghost of the Edison light bulb filament.
